Update

My life has been blessed in many ways. One of those blessings is the gift of music that runs through my family.

I have about half of Awakening written, and I’m bursting with ideas on how the rest will come to life. One cool thing about writing is that when you get deeper into the weeds with your plot and characters, new thoughts about where to take the story pop out at you. As a storyteller, this provides a lot of fuel.

However, due to music moving to the forefront of my life through church and other avenues, I have temporarily switched gears to writing songs with my son and friends. The same feeling of writing and then having new ideas show themselves to you exists in music, too. When you write one song, another idea comes to you. And pretty soon, writing an album turns into “what should the next record sound like?”

So here I am on this book-writing hiatus, but still telling stories through music that I pray will fall softly on open ears. Eventually, this blog and our ministry/worship music websites will be integrated. I will be back to share links to the other projects as they come to life.
